Dr. Schibler

Dr. Schibler grew up in Ohio on a dairy farm where she learned valuable work ethics from her parents. She is the youngest of 7 children who all continue to be very close today. She has been

a physician for 26 years beginning her medical education at Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio and receiving her bachelor’s degree at The University of Akron in 1986. One week after graduation she married the love of her life, Eric, and continued her medical pursuits graduating from The Medical College of Ohio at Toledo in 1990. From 1990–1993 she did her residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, a Level I Trauma Center and affiliated with Wright State University School of Medicine.

Her son Caleb was born in 1997 and she continued her work as a faculty member for the Family Medicine Residency through 2009. She says about her years teaching, “My teaching experiences are some of the fondest memories of my career.” From teaching she went on to private practice with Primed Physicians in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Schibler says, “I had the good fortune to move to Hilton Head in 2011 to join Island Family Medicine and practice alongside Dr. Jonathan Sack. I continue today to enjoy a thriving practice at Island Family Medicine where my depth of practice includes child and adult medicine, procedures such as joint injections, dermatology, sports medicine, women's healthcare that includes but is not limited to pap smears and contraception counseling. A special part of my practice is management of opiate dependency with buprenorphine/suboxone; I have seen many lives transformed through this program. I enjoy working as a family physician caring for all aspects of my patients’ health and am happy to serve families for their medical care.”

Dr. Jonathan Sack

Dr. Jonathan Sack, board certified in Family Medicine, graduated from the University Of The Witwatersrand, Faculty of Health Sciences, South Africa in 1974 and has been practicing medicine for 42 years. For the first 10 years in South Africa, he ran a successful concierge practice while assisting in plastic surgery. His journey to America in 1984, crossing the ocean on a sailboat, landed he and his family in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In 1994 he moved to Charleston to be Chief Resident of The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Family Practice. He returned to Hilton Head in 2003 to open his private practice, Island Family Medicine. In 2008 he added medical consultation for obesity to his practice by becoming certified in Bariatric Medicine. Today Dr. Sack continues practicing in Family Medicine as medical director of Island Family Medicin and in Cosmetic Medicine as medical director of Transformation Medical Weight Loss & MedSpa.

Dr. Sack's patients praise him for his exceptional diagnostic skills in all areas of his practice and attest to his positive and transformational impact on their lives. As Medical Director for The Center for Medical Weight Loss program at Transformation Medical Weight Loss & MedSpa, Dr. Sack focuses on helping patients understand the impact of a healthy weight and optimum fitness on overall health. Straight talk and tough love are part of his approach to keeping patients on track in achieving and sustaining a health-centered lifestyle.
